Day 76 – March 7
Buyers remorse is a terrible thing. I’ve never really had it before as I usually labor long and hard over my purchases. Today, apparently, was different. We purchased a 2001 Ford Excursion Limited on Monday. We traded in our F-150 for it and were fairly happy with the trade. But then the buyers remorse kicked in. We realized that one of the heated seats doesn’t heat. The passenger side locks only work manually (they are supposed to be power locks). We think there is a leak in the exhaust system. And the kicker . . we were apparently sloppy and failed to look under the truck . . . . DH found rust. Blech! Really, in the grand scheme of things, I don’t think it was a horrible purchase. All of the “wrong” things are relatively easy to fix. But I am feeling like maybe we should have waited to see if something better came along? Not likely, since most of the limited editions we’d seen were wayyy out of our price range. But, the buyers remorse is still there. Can’t say this is a lesson I’m happy to have learned!
